Taggie Blanket

Well, I have a new neice, Kaitlyn, and as the best Aunt in the world, of course, I had to sew up a storm of stuff for her. I was on Facebook and my friend, Shelly, said that her daughters both loved their taggie blanket. I had never heard of them (and actually had to Google it). After deciding that I wasn't going to spend a boatload of money, I came up with my own. Here is the link for the original Taggie Blanket. Below are some pics of what I made (sorry, they are not the greatest).

By the way, I got the velour fabric from Walmart and a bunch of different ribbons and started sewing the pieces of ribbon in between the two layers of fabric. Next, I am gong to make some Taggie stuffed toys (see link here). I found some cool, easy to cut out shapes here. I plan on just printing off the shape that I want, cutting it out of fabric, sewing the two sides together with some ribbons in between and stuffing. I will post pics of my creations when I get them finished. By the way, if you are looking for a tutorial for the Taggie Blanket, click here.
